We have replicated the design of our RIOT titanium bar into a cromoly steel version with AMAZING results! By butting the tubing to be thicker in the high stress sections and thinner in the low stress sections, we created a light weight bar that has obvious cost advantages of titanium, but also less flex than titanium.
